The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation employees have announced a strike starting from April 22, citing unresolved issues and lack of response from the government. TSRTC JAC Chairman Venkanna stated that despite submitting a formal strike notice on March 13, there has been no meaningful engagement from the authorities so far. He expressed concern that repeated efforts to address workers’ grievances have yielded no results.
Venkanna further alleged that the RTC management is attempting to evade responsibility instead of resolving the concerns of employees. He emphasized that the demands raised by the workers are in line with the promises made in the election manifesto and are not unreasonable. With no response from the government, the workers have decided to proceed with the strike, which is likely to impact public transport services across Telangana.
