Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a commanding performance at their home ground to defeat table-toppers Rajasthan Royals and register their first win of the IPL 2026 season. Led by a brilliant knock from Ishan Kishan, who scored 91 runs, SRH posted a formidable total. Contributions from Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Salil Arora helped the team set a challenging target. Kishan’s aggressive innings dismantled the RR bowling attack, especially countering early threats effectively.

In response, Rajasthan Royals suffered a dramatic collapse as young pacers Prafull Hinge and Shakeeb Hussain wreaked havoc. Hinge struck three wickets in a single over, while Hussain finished with four wickets, restricting RR to 159 runs. Despite resistance from Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira, SRH secured a convincing 57-run victory. This marked Rajasthan’s first loss of the season and highlighted SRH’s strong comeback driven by their bowling unit.
