Groundbreaking for Central Secretariat Construction in Amaravati

Preparations have begun for the construction of a Central Secretariat in Amaravati, marking it as a key project of the central government. The project is planned with a total estimated cost of ₹2,534 crore. As part of this, a dedicated allocation of ₹1,299.08 crore has been earmarked specifically for the construction of the Central Secretariat building.

In addition, multi-storey buildings will be developed to accommodate central government employees who will be based in Amaravati. The Secretariat complex is planned to be constructed over an area of approximately 5.53 acres, while a residential complex will be developed across 17 acres. This project is expected to significantly boost the development of Amaravati.
