During the Tamil Nadu promotional events for The Paradise, actor Nani reflected on his association with Tamil cinema and spoke about one of his biggest aspirations. Recalling his early Tamil films Veppam and Aaha Kalyanam, Nani said that working with filmmaker Mani Ratnam continues to be a lifelong dream. He has frequently acknowledged Mani Ratnam as one of the major influences on his approach to acting and cinema.
The Paradise is directed by Srikanth Odela and is being mounted on a large scale with a substantial production budget. Nani plays Jadal, a character that is described as a significant departure from the roles he has portrayed earlier in his career. The film also features Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Mohan Babu in important roles. With music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, The Paradise is scheduled to release worldwide on September 24 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
