Dushara Vijayan, who is currently busy with her upcoming films Makutam and GDN, has shared her views on talent, glamour, and remuneration in the film industry. Speaking in a recent interview, the actress revealed that she began her career as a model, where appearance often takes precedence. However, she believes the film industry offers greater recognition to talent and performance. Dushara noted that while some leading stars prefer working with glamorous actresses who fit a specific image, filmmakers approach her primarily because of her acting abilities.

The actress also clarified that financial gain is not her primary motivation for choosing films. Dushara stated that she comes from a strong family background and would be supported by her family even if she stopped acting. She emphasized that acting and meaningful roles are more important to her than remuneration, adding that money is only an additional bonus. The actress expressed satisfaction with the compensation she currently receives and said she remains focused on building a career based on talent and performance.
