Are These the Key Changes in the English Version of ‘Ramayana’?

The Indian epic ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ held its world premiere today at the David Geffen Theatre inside the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The venue was packed with viewers, and the film’s core team attended the special screening. The English-dubbed 3D version was screened at the event. However, several viewers reportedly noticed a runtime difference of around 25 minutes compared with the original Hindi version. While the Hindi version runs for more than three hours, the English version is said to be considerably shorter. This difference has sparked curiosity among audiences about whether the two versions contain different scenes or edits.

According to reports, the makers may have removed some songs from the English version, potentially explaining the shorter runtime. However, no official clarification has been issued so far, and the reason for the difference remains unconfirmed. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash. Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi play the lead roles, while AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer have composed the music. The highly anticipated epic is scheduled to release worldwide on November 5, 2026.
