Women over 30 should pay special attention to their physical health as well as mental well-being. A balanced diet rich in iron, calcium, protein and essential vitamins should be included in the daily routine. Staying adequately hydrated is also important, with around 2–3 litres of water a day generally recommended for many adults, depending on individual needs and medical conditions. Regular physical activity, such as at least 30 minutes of walking, yoga or cardio exercise, can support heart health. Since bone density may decline with age, women should ensure adequate calcium and vitamin D through their diet and other appropriate sources. Reducing excessive sugar, salt, processed foods and junk food can also support a healthier lifestyle.
Mental well-being and quality sleep are equally important. Getting around 7–8 hours of good-quality sleep can support normal body functions and hormonal regulation. Meditation and breathing exercises may help manage everyday stress, while setting aside time for hobbies such as reading or listening to music can provide relaxation. Establishing healthy boundaries and learning to say no when necessary may also help reduce stress. Preventive healthcare should include regular check-ups based on age, medical history and individual risk factors. Women should discuss the need and appropriate schedule for mammograms, Pap smears, thyroid and diabetes screening with their healthcare providers. Using sunscreen for protection from excessive sun exposure and maintaining a nutrient-rich diet for eye health are also important aspects of overall wellness.
