Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader M.A. Baby launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, drawing a comparison between Mahatma Gandhi’s role in the freedom struggle and the current political situation. He said Gandhi chose the path of truth in his fight for India’s independence, whereas Modi was allegedly trying to gain power through falsehoods and misleading methods. Baby accused the Prime Minister of repeatedly making false claims and questioned his approach to politics.
Baby also targeted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing him of facilitating alleged vote theft. He demanded that Kumar be removed from his post and prosecuted over these allegations. Baby’s remarks add to the political debate surrounding allegations of electoral irregularities and the role of election authorities. These are allegations made by the CPI(M) leader and should not be treated as established findings.
