A claim about Chinese President Xi Jinping’s health has gone viral following the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. Chinese dissident and China Democratic Party chairman Wanjun Xie alleged that Xi fainted during the summit and was subsequently flown back to China for emergency medical treatment. Xie also claimed that Xi was taken to a military hospital by helicopter. However, there is no official confirmation supporting these allegations so far.
Xi Jinping attended the BRICS Summit in New Delhi and held bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 12. He did not attend the gala dinner hosted by Modi that evening. The reason for his absence was not officially stated, although some reports cited sources suggesting that Xi returned to his hotel to rest. He also participated in the summit on September 13. There is currently no verified evidence from Chinese or Indian authorities confirming the claims about his health.
