Punjab Farmers’ Unique Appeal to Thieves Over Stolen Motor Pumps Goes Viral

Farmers from Pakhi Kalan village in Faridkot district, Punjab, have created a unique video that has gone viral on social media. In the video, they make a humorous yet serious appeal to unknown thieves, requesting them not to steal water motor pumps during the paddy season.

The farmers, who lost 15 irrigation motor pumps two months ago, say that even 25 motorcycles kept in their fields were stolen on a single night later. Despite filing police complaints, there has been no improvement in the situation. Frustrated, they jokingly asked thieves to open a bank account and share details so they could transfer money as a “crop protection fund” instead of losing essential farming equipment.
