Nepali Couple Arrested in Gold Theft Case

A gold and diamond theft was reported at a businessman’s residence in Hill Ridge Villa, Gachibowli limits. Police registered a case and arrested the accused within hours. The suspects, a Nepali couple working as domestic help at the house, were tracked down with the help of Uttar Pradesh police and are being brought to Hyderabad for further action.

According to police, nearly 1 kilogram of gold jewellery and diamonds were stolen from the residence while the businessman’s family was away in Mumbai. After returning, they found the valuables missing and lodged a complaint. The accused will be produced before the media, and later sent to judicial remand after being presented in court. Police have also issued a warning to verify domestic workers thoroughly before hiring.
