

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to begin Phase-2 works for the Musi River rejuvenation project from Nagole to Goudelli within 100 days. He stated that the first phase from Gandipet to Gandhisarovar has already started and emphasized expanding the project further as part of Hyderabad’s long-term development plan.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for development projects worth ₹1,511 crore in the Medchal–Malkajgiri district. These include a ₹98 crore municipal corporation building, ₹960 crore alternative roads at AOC Centre, a six-lane flyover worth ₹416 crore at TKR College Junction, and a 100-bed district hospital worth ₹37.5 crore.
He highlighted broader urban development plans including metro expansion, decentralisation of city administration into three corporations, and the CURE-1 unified billing system. He stressed that Hyderabad must be developed at global standards, pointing to the need for improved infrastructure, pollution control, and rehabilitation for affected residents along the Musi river basin.
