Mirzapur: The Movie Creates a Box Office Storm

The popular Mirzapur franchise, which first created a major impact on the digital platform, is now making a strong mark at the box office with Mirzapur: The Movie. Directed by Gurmeet Singh, the film hit theatres on September 4 and has reportedly witnessed a steady rise in collections. It opened with an estimated Rs 25.75 crore net in India, followed by Rs 32 crore on Day 2 and around Rs 36 crore on Day 3. With its three-day India net collection reaching approximately Rs 93.75 crore, the film reportedly crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone by the fourth day.

According to the reported figures, the film’s India gross stands at around Rs 112.35 crore, while its overseas gross has reached nearly Rs 20 crore, taking the worldwide gross beyond Rs 132 crore. Positive word of mouth is said to be helping the film maintain its momentum. The gangster drama revolves around the power struggle for the Mirzapur throne, old rivalries and new enemies. Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya return to the franchise, while Ravi Kishan joins the cast. Jitendra Kumar appears as Bablu Pandit, replacing Vikrant Massey’s character portrayal, alongside Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee.
