Telangana Assembly to Meet for a Week as BAC Finalises Session Schedule

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Telangana Legislative Assembly has decided to conduct the Assembly session for a week. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Hyderabad, where the schedule and key issues to be discussed during the session were considered. The BAC is expected to meet again to discuss whether the session needs to be extended based on the business pending before the House.

The BAC also approved a discussion on fee reimbursement. BJP leaders reportedly insisted on a judicial inquiry into issues related to Section 22-A and sought discussions on 25 different subjects during the session. The issues raised by the opposition are expected to feature in the Assembly proceedings, subject to the finalisation of the agenda and business schedule.
