Putin Says Europe Cannot Defeat Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has asserted that European nations do not have the capability to defeat Russia. He criticised European countries for making statements suggesting that they may have to go to war with Moscow, claiming that such remarks reflect political and psychological instability. Putin also accused European nations of repeatedly spreading fears about a potential threat from Russia. These remarks were reported by a news agency in an account of his conversation with a journalist.

Putin said European nations that had previously attempted to defeat Russia eventually realised that maintaining friendly relations with Moscow was a better option. He suggested that the same situation would arise again. Meanwhile, describing Ukraine as a brotherly nation, the Russian president said Moscow was prepared to participate in talks mediated by the United States to find a solution to the ongoing war with Ukraine.
