IT major Infosys reported improved financial results for the second quarter of the 2026 financial year. Its consolidated net profit rose 6.2% to ₹7,823 crore in the quarter ended September, compared with ₹7,364 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations increased 10.2% to ₹49,244 crore from ₹44,490 crore. Artificial intelligence (AI) contributed 10.5% of the company’s total revenue and recorded 29% quarter-on-quarter growth. Infosys CEO and Managing Director Salil Parekh said the growing adoption of AI by businesses and rising opportunities in areas such as cybersecurity were supporting the company’s performance.
Infosys reported large deal wins worth $5.2 billion during the July–September quarter, including a mega deal valued at more than $2 billion over seven years. Its operating margin remained steady at 21%. However, the company lowered its full-year revenue growth forecast, on a constant-currency basis, from 1.5–3% to 1–2%, citing subdued demand in the US market. It retained its operating margin guidance at 20–22%. The company added 4,000 employees on a net basis during the quarter and recruited 8,000 graduates from college campuses. Parekh said Infosys aims to hire 20,000 fresh graduates during the full financial year. The company’s board also declared an interim dividend of ₹26 per share, 13% higher than the previous year.
