US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that the Russia-Ukraine war will end soon, adding that the conflict with Iran could also be resolved in the near future. However, he did not provide a specific timeline for either development. Addressing a campaign rally in Iowa, Trump reiterated that the United States would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He said Washington was prepared to take tougher measures if necessary to achieve that objective.
Trump also accused Iran of attempting to drive up oil prices ahead of the US midterm elections. Separately, he once again claimed that he had brought an end to eight wars. While expressing optimism about the resolution of the ongoing conflicts, he did not outline a definite timetable for ending the Russia-Ukraine war or the confrontation with Iran.
