The government has announced that the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released on October 30, 2026. Eligible farmers are set to receive ₹2,000 directly into their bank accounts. The announcement comes after the 23rd instalment was released on June 20. Under the scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually from the central government. The amount is transferred directly to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in three instalments of ₹2,000 each, released every four months.
Farmers should ensure that their required details are up to date to avoid delays in receiving the payment. Completing electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC), linking Aadhaar to the bank account, ensuring that DBT is active and verifying land-record details on the portal are important steps. Incomplete verification or discrepancies in these records may delay the transfer. Beneficiaries can visit the official PM-KISAN website to check their payment and beneficiary status.
