Mani Ratnam Announces New Film ‘Inji Vellam’ Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi

Acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam has announced the title of his upcoming film as ‘Inji Vellam’. The title translates to ‘Ginger Jaggery’ in Telugu. Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi are set to play key roles in the film, which is reportedly being developed as a romantic drama. The promotional glimpse suggests that the story is set against the backdrop of Kolkata, adding further curiosity around the project.

The combination of Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi, known for choosing content-driven films, under Mani Ratnam’s direction has generated considerable interest among moviegoers. Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is composing the music for the film. The project is being jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies.
