Differences between fans of the Mega family and Icon Star Allu Arjun have once again become a topic of discussion in Tollywood. Comments attributed to Allu Arjun praising the box-office success of superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ have been circulating widely online. He reportedly praised Rajinikanth’s stardom, saying that only the veteran actor could achieve the ₹500-crore milestone without even getting his shirt creased. However, some Mega fans have objected to the wording, triggering another round of arguments between the two fan groups.
Some Mega fans believe that the phrase suggesting only Rajinikanth could achieve such a feat indirectly undermines Megastar Chiranjeevi’s box-office appeal. Allu Arjun’s supporters, however, argue that his intention was to appreciate Rajinikanth’s unique screen presence and stardom, not to insult Chiranjeevi. They maintain that praising one actor should not automatically be interpreted as belittling another. Differences between Mega and Allu fans became more openly discussed after Allu Arjun’s visit to Nandyal during the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Since then, supporters of both sides have frequently exchanged criticism online. The latest comments about ‘Jailer 2’ have reignited the debate, with arguments between the two groups continuing on X.
