The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 1.136 kilograms of methamphetamine, valued at approximately ₹1.1 crore, in a major drug bust in Hyderabad. According to preliminary information, the narcotics were recovered from a bus travelling from Bhopal to Hyderabad. The seizure forms part of the agency’s efforts to curb the illegal transportation and distribution of narcotic substances.
Two suspects allegedly linked to the case reportedly got off the bus at Nagpur before it reached its destination. The DRI has registered a case and launched an investigation to establish the origin of the seized drugs, identify those involved in the suspected trafficking network and determine the intended destination of the consignment. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
