Colour code for driving licenses!

The government has decided to make a difference in the issuance of driving licences to Indians and foreigners. It is proposed to print the cards in different colours so that they can be printed in different colours. The colour code is also included in the draft issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) proposing changes in the Central Motor Vehicle Rules.

The draft also proposes to approve the age and address of the driving license applicant and the acceptance of LIC policies. The government has also proposed to print the license's blood group, phone number and emergency contact number on the driving license. The draft proposes to increase the pass marks from 60 per cent to 75 per cent in the test conducted to assess the understanding of road safety rules of the driving license applicant
