Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has joined the social media platform X and shared her first post in a video format, introducing her forthcoming autobiography, Belonging: A Journey of Love. In the post, she reflected on her relationship with her husband, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, recalling how their acquaintance gradually developed into friendship and love. The book is scheduled for release on November 10, when readers will get an opportunity to explore the personal memories she has chosen to share.
Sonia recalled meeting Rajiv at a small Greek restaurant in Cambridge through a mutual friend. She said she had been searching for Italian food while studying in England and eventually found the restaurant, which was frequented by European and Indian students. She remembered feeling that Rajiv was the right person for her when she first saw him, adding that she later realised he had felt similarly. While describing him as handsome, she said his gentle nature was what attracted her most. The video also featured photographs of the couple together, offering a glimpse into their early relationship.
