A controversy has erupted after a young woman displayed a flex banner related to the film ‘Peddi’, starring Ram Charan, along the sacred Alipiri footpath leading to Tirumala. The banner, celebrating the film’s success, was placed near the Alipiri Padala Mandapam and later shared on social media, making the incident go viral and drawing widespread criticism.

As per established rules, display of political, commercial, or film-related banners is strictly prohibited in Tirumala and along the pilgrimage routes. Devotees and netizens have expressed strong displeasure, stating that such actions disturb the spiritual atmosphere. Questions are also being raised about the vigilance of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams security staff, as the woman managed to carry and display a large banner without detection. Demands for strict action to prevent recurrence have intensified.
