Students of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), popularly known as Basara IIIT, are facing difficulties due to a drinking water shortage on campus. The issue has reportedly been linked to the effects of El Niño and the resulting water related challenges. In view of the situation, the institute has decided to conduct classes online from October 26 to ensure that academic activities continue without interruption. The decision comes as the campus deals with the drinking water problem, which has affected the regular functioning of the institution.
As part of its academic plan, the institute has decided to complete the syllabus by November 17. The move is aimed at ensuring that students do not fall behind in their studies despite the temporary shift to online learning. Students are expected to attend classes online and follow the academic schedule announced by the institution. The administration’s priority is to address the immediate challenges while ensuring that the syllabus is completed within the stipulated time. Further updates regarding the continuation of online classes and the situation on campus will depend on how the drinking water issue develops.
