Cultural Grandeur Captivates Devotees During Chinna Sesha Vahana Seva

The cultural performances held in Tirumala on Wednesday morning during the Chinna Sesha Vahana Seva, as part of the annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams, captivated devotees. Lord Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by his consorts, gave divine darshan to devotees while taking a procession through the Mada streets on the Chinna Sesha Vahanam. Before the procession, 539 artistes from 20 cultural troupes representing nine states presented a vibrant blend of devotional music, classical dances and folk traditions. Artistes from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, Maharashtra, Puducherry and Uttar Pradesh showcased the cultural heritage of their respective regions.

Artistes from Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance presented Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Garagattam and other traditional forms, while Andhra Pradesh troupes performed Yedukula Vaibhavam and Kolatam, and artistes from Puducherry presented Oyilattam. The Srimad Ramayanam performance by artistes from Varanasi, Dagar Gaja and Dreams from Maharashtra, Borthal from Assam and Odissi by the West Bengal troupe were among the highlights. Performances including Bihu, Manjunatha Charitra, Kalinga Nartana and Tamil folk traditions also entertained devotees. The colourful costumes, soulful music and energetic dance performances added to the festive atmosphere, showcasing the spirit of “unity in diversity” through India’s rich cultural heritage.
