Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu Reviews TTD Affairs with Officials in Tirumala

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting with TTD officials in Tirumala and outlined several development initiatives along with Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu. The Chief Minister said the objective was to develop Tirumala as a sacred and environmentally sustainable pilgrimage centre. He highlighted the renovated SV Museum, the new pilgrim experience centre at Vaikuntam Queue Complex-1 and an Aadhaar-based group insurance initiative for devotees. Thirty-two new electric buses have also been introduced, taking the total number of electric buses serving pilgrims in Tirumala to 44.

Naidu also outlined plans for constructing 5,000 temples under the Srivani programme, renovating existing temples and strengthening TTD-linked healthcare and education services. Proposals include a skywalk connecting Tirupati railway station with the bus stand, a multi-storey parking facility on 50 acres and infrastructure development for housing sites allotted to 5,192 TTD employees. He stressed the need to develop Tirumala and Tirupati under a net-zero model, with greater use of solar and wind power, battery storage, waste recycling and water conservation. A ₹230-crore infrastructure plan for the TTD employees’ housing colony has also received approval.
