Global Companies Set Their Sights on Hyderabad

Hyderabad is expected to add another 50–70 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) over the next year, according to a joint report by industry body FICCI and property consultant Anarock. The city currently has around 515 GCCs employing more than 300,000 people. Hyderabad accounts for nearly 20% of the total GCCs in the country.

The report noted that GCCs have emerged as key drivers of office market demand in Hyderabad. GCCs established by global companies occupied around 19 lakh sq. ft. of office space in 2021, which increased to 45 lakh sq. ft. in 2025. The growing presence of these centres is therefore playing an important role in strengthening demand for commercial office space in the city.

FICCI Telangana State Council Chairman V.V. Rama Raju said the expansion of GCCs is helping Hyderabad move beyond its traditional IT–ITeS identity and broaden its presence across other sectors. The expected arrival of more GCCs could further support office space demand and employment opportunities in the city.
