IndiGo has completed the mandatory Airbus software upgrade across all 200 of its A320 aircraft after EASA issued a global directive to fix a vulnerability in the flight control system. The airline said the updates were completed smoothly with no cancellations and minimal impact on operations.
Air India announced that over 90 percent of its A320 fleet has also been updated, with the remaining aircraft scheduled for completion within EASA’s timeline. The airline credited its engineering teams for ensuring uninterrupted operations during the upgrade process.
The issue was linked to the ELAC B L104 unit, leading to worldwide disruptions affecting nearly 6,000 flights, including 338 in India. DGCA confirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation to maintain steady flight operations.
