Google has unveiled Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash with improved video generation and editing capabilities. The model can analyse up to 10 seconds of earlier footage when extending a video, compared with just one second in earlier versions. Developers can add footage in 10-second increments, with extensions supporting a total duration of up to 40 seconds.
The model can also generate footage between specified first and last frames, support movements such as camera orbits and zooms, and use up to three seconds of reference video for new creations. A new 360p mode is designed for quick testing and costs less than higher-resolution generation. Once a video is finalised, users can generate it in 1080p or 4K. The model is available through Google's developer platforms and to eligible subscribers through Google Flow and the Gemini app.
