India’s third-seeded Anmol Kharb has booked her place in the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters Super 100 badminton tournament. In the quarterfinal played on Friday, Anmol produced a determined performance to defeat Chinese Taipei’s Huang Ching 21-14, 13-21, 21-17. After winning the opening game, she lost the second but bounced back strongly in the decider to seal her semifinal berth.
In another women’s singles quarterfinal, India’s Asmita could not continue her campaign after losing to China’s Xu Wen Jin. Asmita went down 10-21, 18-21 in straight games.
