Hyderabad is emerging as an important hub for the development of advanced defence technologies and weapon systems. Hyderabad-based defence technology startup Drogo Aerospace Private Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with state-owned Munitions India Limited (MIL). The agreement was signed in Pune by Drogo Aerospace founder and CEO Bonthu Yashwanth and MIL Executive Director Kumar Vaibhav Gaur.
Under the MoU, MIL will support Drogo Aerospace in integrating more powerful explosive payloads and ammunition with its indigenous kamikaze drones. Such systems have gained importance in modern warfare because of their ability to accurately engage designated targets. Drogo Aerospace recently developed and successfully tested its Delta Wing Kamikaze drone near Hyderabad, which is designed to loiter over designated targets and carry a payload of around 20 to 30 kilograms.
