

Indian smart device maker Fire-Boltt is entering the smartphone segment with a new brand called “Bolt,” expected to launch by mid-August. CEO Arnav Kishore announced an initial investment of $50 million (around ₹472 crore) to support product development, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution. The company plans to introduce 4G and 5G smartphones in the ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 price range, targeting sales of 5 to 10 lakh units within the first 4–5 months.
Meanwhile, Oppo India has launched its Reno16 series, including Reno16 and Reno16C models. The smartphones feature a Holoverse 3D design, a 50MP telephoto lens with AI portrait capabilities, and HDR video recording. Powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipsets, along with a 6700mAh battery, the series starts at ₹61,999. The devices will be available from July 9 on Amazon, Flipkart, and Oppo e-stores.
