Speaking at the 31st Annual General Meeting of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Chairman N. Chandrasekaran addressed concerns surrounding the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the IT industry. He emphasized that AI should not be viewed as a disruptive threat but rather as a transformative opportunity capable of unlocking new avenues of growth for technology companies.
Chandrasekaran stated that AI is expected to significantly expand the global technology market and create fresh business opportunities for the IT sector. He revealed that TCS is actively developing large-scale AI agents and expressed confidence that the future workforce will include both employees and AI agents working alongside each other. According to him, the day when AI agents match the number of employees within the organization may not be far away.
