Meta has made the Instagram app available for Apple TV users, bringing Instagram Reels and other video content to the television screen. The app became available for free through the Apple TV App Store on October 23 and is also accessible to users in India. With this launch, viewers can watch Reels, long-form videos and live broadcasts on a bigger screen. The app requires tvOS 26.0 or a newer version, allowing compatible Apple TV users to access Instagram’s video content directly from their televisions.
One of the key features is cross-device continuity, which allows users to resume watching a video on their TV from the point where they stopped on their phone. This feature is designed to offer a more seamless viewing experience across devices. The move expands Instagram beyond mobile screens and gives users another way to enjoy video content at home. Users with compatible Apple TV devices can check the App Store to download the app and explore its features.
