Dhanush’s Political Entry Sparks Controversy Over Lotus Symbol

Speculation about Tamil actor Dhanush’s possible political entry has intensified in Tamil Nadu following a meeting with his fans in Chennai. He reportedly met more than 2,500 women fans representing 58 districts and presented them with silver lamps. The appearance of a lotus symbol on the lamps triggered political discussions and fuelled rumours that the actor might launch a new political party. Reports circulating in political circles suggest that the proposed party could be named ‘Tamilaga Ezhuchi Kazhagam’. There is also speculation that Dhanush may be looking to turn his extensive fan base into a political support base, following a path similar to that of actor Vijay.

However, a representative of Dhanush Narpani Iyakkam reportedly clarified that the lotus symbol on the silver lamps was merely the manufacturer’s mark and had no political significance. The explanation sought to dispel speculation surrounding the gifts. Although rumours about Dhanush’s political ambitions continue to circulate, the actor has not made any official announcement regarding his entry into politics. His recent meeting with fans and the reports about a possible new party have nevertheless sparked curiosity about his future plans.
