Sai Pallavi Calls Playing Sita in ‘Ramayana’ a Special Experience

Actress Sai Pallavi has described playing Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana as a deeply special experience. As part of the film’s promotional campaign, she and co-star Ranbir Kapoor appeared as guests on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. Asked how she felt about being offered the role, Sai Pallavi explained that she usually thinks about what she can contribute to a character. However, she approached Sita differently, focusing instead on what she could learn through the role. She said she prayed to Sita before stepping onto the sets, asking for the opportunity to portray the character. Amitabh Bachchan praised her heartfelt response.

In Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, Yash takes on the role of Ravana, and Ravi Dubey appears as Lakshmana. Sunny Deol will play Hanuman. The epic is planned as a two-part cinematic series, with the first instalment scheduled for release on November 5, 2026. The film’s casting and its adaptation of the Indian epic have generated considerable interest among moviegoers.
