Sabalenka Fined After Racket Smash in US Open Final

Star tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has been fined $7,500 by the United States Tennis Association following her conduct during the US Open final against Elena Rybakina. Sabalenka, who was aiming for a third consecutive US Open title, lost the final 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 and smashed her racket on court in frustration.

The fine was imposed following multiple code violations during the final, including the racket smash. The $7,500 penalty amounts to more than ₹7 lakh in Indian currency. The additional financial setback comes after Sabalenka missed out on the US Open title and her bid for a historic three-peat.
