Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated his 45th birthday, marking another milestone in one of cricket's most extraordinary careers. Fondly known as 'Captain Cool', Dhoni's journey from working as a ticket collector with the Indian Railways to becoming one of India's most successful captains continues to inspire millions. Since making his international debut in 2004, he has rewritten cricketing history with his calm leadership, exceptional finishing ability, and tactical brilliance. Under his captaincy, India won the ICC T20 World Cup (2007), ICC Cricket World Cup (2011), and ICC Champions Trophy (2013), making him the only captain to win all three major ICC white-ball trophies.
Dhoni retired with an outstanding international record of 17,266 runs, 829 dismissals, and 538 matches across formats. He scored 10,773 ODI runs at an average of 50.57, including 10 centuries, while also leading India to the No. 1 position in the ICC Test rankings for the first time. As captain, he guided India to memorable victories across all formats, including historic Border-Gavaskar Trophy whitewashes against Australia at home. Widely regarded as one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batters and leaders in cricket history, Dhoni's legacy continues to inspire generations of players and fans around the world.
