Jos Buttler Becomes T20 Cricket’s Highest Run-Scorer

England captain and explosive batter Jos Buttler has created history in T20 cricket by becoming the highest run-scorer in the format. Buttler surpassed West Indies legend Kieron Pollard to claim the world record for the most T20 runs.The historic milestone came during The Hundred tournament in England, where Buttler is representing the Manchester Super Giants. He achieved the feat in a match against Welsh Fire.

Buttler played a blistering unbeaten knock of 51 runs off just 20 balls, smashing two fours and six sixes to guide his team to victory. With this innings, he took his overall T20 tally to 14,833 runs. Pollard previously held the record with 14,803 runs in 746 matches, while Buttler reached the landmark in just 522 matches, highlighting his remarkable consistency and strike rate.

Former West Indies star Chris Gayle remains third on the all-time list with 14,562 runs in 463 matches. Buttler has also registered nine T20 centuries and 105 half-centuries during his illustrious career.

Reacting to the milestone, Buttler said he was delighted to become the highest run-scorer in T20 cricket.
