Andre Russell Creates T20 World Record with 10,000 Runs and 500 Wickets

West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has created history in T20 cricket by achieving a rare double milestone. He recently completed 10,000 runs during the Nepal Premier League, becoming the 21st batter to reach the landmark in the shortest format. More significantly, Russell has become the first cricketer in T20 history to score at least 10,000 runs and claim more than 500 wickets.

In the list of leading T20 run-scorers, England's Jos Buttler tops the chart with 15,062 runs, while West Indies great Kieron Pollard follows with 14,999. Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan leads the T20 wicket-takers' list with 743 wickets. Several other players, including Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo, Imran Tahir and Shakib Al Hasan, have crossed the 500-wicket mark. However, none of them has combined that achievement with 10,000 runs, making Russell's record particularly special.
