After winning the toss and electing to bat, India posted a commanding total of 564/8 declared, powered by magnificent centuries from Shubman Gill (126) and KL Rahul (100).
Afghanistan struggled against India's spin attack in both innings. Debutant Manav Suthar starred with the ball, claiming 6 wickets for 33 runs as Afghanistan were bowled out for 152 in their first innings.
