A Russian drone strike on the main railway station in Dnipro, a city in central-eastern Ukraine, has left at least 13 people dead and several others injured, according to Ukrainian authorities. The drone hit a platform where passenger trains were present, with commuters preparing to board a train bound for Zaporizhzhia. Reports indicated that two trains were affected in the attack. Emergency responders and medical teams rushed to the scene to assist the injured and coordinate rescue operations.
Ukrainian railway officials said a heightened threat warning had been issued before the strike, but many people were still on the platform when the drone hit. The injured were taken for medical treatment, while emergency personnel continued their response at the station. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack and called for stronger international action against Russia. The incident has renewed concerns over the safety of civilian passengers and the continued targeting of Ukraine’s railway infrastructure amid the ongoing war.
