Cyberabad Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), are developing a comprehensive traffic management plan to address recurring congestion in Hyderabad's Hi-Tech City and Biodiversity areas. The proposal focuses on introducing a continuous one-way loop to improve vehicle movement during morning and evening peak hours. The proposed corridor would begin at Biodiversity Junction, pass through IKEA Rotary, Raheja Mindspace C-Gate, Knowledge City and Dallas Center, turn right near My Home Bhooja and reconnect with Biodiversity Junction. Officials believe the system could reduce delays at four major bottleneck junctions, make better use of available road space and improve overall traffic flow. However, the proposal remains under evaluation and has not yet been implemented.
As part of the feasibility assessment, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sunpreet Singh, IPS, senior traffic officials, SCSC CEO Naveed Khan and their teams inspected the proposed route. They examined existing road infrastructure and traffic-related challenges at key junctions. Detailed traffic simulations will be conducted to assess vehicle speeds, traffic density and the possible impact of the proposed changes. Authorities also plan to consult IT companies, commercial establishments and other local stakeholders before finalising the project. Commissioner Ramesh stated that the system would be introduced in phases only after reviewing feedback and completing the execution plan. He added that official traffic advisories and route diversion details would be communicated to commuters well in advance.
