Wherever Congress Is, There Is No Electricity: KTR

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) raised concerns over the power situation in Telangana during a press conference at Telangana Bhavan. He said electricity was a lifeline for the people of Telangana and claimed that the previous BRS government had significantly increased power generation capacity through investments in the sector. KTR alleged that the State was now facing difficulties due to power cuts. He claimed that the 4,000-MW Yadadri Thermal Power Station was generating only around 400 MW and that power generation at Bhadradri Thermal Power Station had also been affected. He also raised allegations regarding the quality and supply of coal and power generation. These are political allegations made by KTR and should be distinguished from independently verified government data.

KTR announced that the BRS would send six teams to inspect power plants across Telangana, demanding uninterrupted 24-hour power supply for farmers. The teams will visit Yadadri, Kothagudem, Bhadradri, Kakatiya Thermal Power Project, Jaipur Thermal Power Plant and the Singareni headquarters. The delegations will assess power generation, coal supplies and the status of units that have stopped generation. KTR said the party would discuss the findings after the inspections and announce its future course of action.
