The team behind Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious film ‘Ramayana’ has issued a stern warning against piracy. The makers have expressed concern over audiences recording footage inside theatres and leaking clips online. In a legal notice, the film team referred to recent directions issued by the Bombay High Court regarding the unauthorised recording and circulation of movie footage.
The notice states that recording, uploading or sharing film footage without permission is a punishable offence and may also amount to contempt of court. The team has urged anyone who has already uploaded such clips online to remove them immediately. It further warned that violations could invite criminal, civil and contempt of court proceedings without any prior notice.
