India set Pakistan a target of 209 runs in their Under-19 Asia Cup clash after being bowled out for 208 in 46.3 overs. After winning the toss and opting to bat, the Indian batters struggled against a disciplined Pakistani bowling attack on a pitch that offered assistance to bowlers. However, Arjun Rajput stood firm amid the fall of wickets and played a superb knock of 107 off 85 balls, including 11 fours and five sixes, to keep India’s innings on track.
Aaryavir Sehwag contributed 22 runs, while Kavya Patel added 23. Anvay Dravid scored 10 and Manal Chauhan made 11, but the rest of the batting line-up failed to make substantial contributions. Captain Lakshya Raichandani was dismissed for a duck, while Yashbardhan Chauhan, Yashveer Goud, VK Vineeth and Mohit Ulva managed only single-digit scores. For Pakistan, Ali Raza, Rizwanullah and Niqab Shafiq picked up three wickets each, while Sayyam claimed one. Pakistan now need 209 runs to win.
