Political dynamics in Tamil Nadu are undergoing a major transformation after decades of Dravidian dominance led by DMK and AIADMK. Actor Vijay, through his new party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is creating a strong political wave. Recent trends suggest that TVK is even challenging the ruling DMK and emerging as a frontrunner, surprising political observers across the state.
The upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are witnessing a three-way contest between DMK led by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, AIADMK aligned with BJP, and the newly entered TVK led by Vijay. While several exit polls predict a continued edge for DMK, some surveys highlight a strong “Vijay effect.” Analysts believe TVK could win close to 100 seats in the 234-member assembly, making Vijay a potential kingmaker and possibly marking a new era in Tamil Nadu politics.
