Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that Tamil Nadu can regain its past glory only with the support of the NDA. Speaking at a press conference in Chennai alongside Union Minister Piyush Goyal during an election campaign, he emphasized that development, employment generation, and welfare are achievable only under the NDA framework. He highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, recalling contributions of eminent personalities and administrators from the state to the nation. He urged Tamil voters to adopt progressive thinking and make informed electoral choices.
Criticizing parties like DMK and Congress, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that their opposition to key bills has adversely impacted women and southern states. He questioned their stance on women’s reservation and delimitation policies, stating that political opposition without clarity harms public interest. He reiterated that policies such as river interlinking and balanced development across states are possible only with strong central support. He also recalled his earlier intervention during the Vajpayee era to safeguard southern states’ interests, asserting that his stance remains committed to regional progress and national development.
