Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review meeting in Amaravati on the implementation of the Family Benefit Management System (FBMS). During the meeting, he emphasized the need to create a Smart Family Card that consolidates all essential information related to every family in the state.
He directed officials to collect and update family and individual details using the Real Time Governance Data Lake. The Smart Family Card should serve as the primary tool for monitoring welfare schemes and delivering citizen services effectively.
The Chief Minister instructed the administration to issue QR-code-enabled Smart Family Cards to all 1.4 crore families in the state by June. He also asked for the inclusion of 25 types of government services and key modules such as P4 within the card.
The Smart Family Card will integrate information related to Aadhaar, FBMS ID, vaccination, caste certificates, nutrition, ration cards, scholarships, pensions, and several other welfare schemes. He made it clear that the system should not be limited only to pension and ration services but must capture all critical data pertaining to citizens.
Chandrababu stated that this initiative will ensure targeted delivery of government benefits and improve governance by resolving challenges in beneficiary selection. He instructed that family details be regularly updated through the Swarnandhra Vision Unit operating in both urban and rural areas.
All essential citizen information, including Aadhaar, should be accessible through a single card, he added. The Chief Minister directed officials to complete overall data consolidation by January 2026 and begin distribution of the Smart Family Cards by June.
